My name is Rose,
I'm an Art Director for a small distributor/ manufacturer.
I attended The Art Institute of Dallas and completed my Associates Degree
in Graphic Design. I'm a mother of a wonderful 4yr old boy and married to
a loving & caring man who supports me 100% in everything I do.
I've always enjoyed baking cakes when I was younger. For years, I always
wanted to learn how to decorate cakes with pretty piped roses, borders
that help enhance a cake. After watching one of my favorite shows
Ace of Cakes
on the Food Network, I decided to take one of those cake courses offered
at most local craft stores just to get me started. After taking the courses I
found that I can enjoy my true passion for the arts by applying it to baking
and transform ordinary cakes to edible pieces of art. Besides the basics that
I learned from the courses I'm pretty much self taught.
So At this point you might be asking what's up with the name.
I originally just wanted to stick to those darn cute little cupcakes!
I love'em! I'm a sucker for cupcakes they are the perfect size, especially
if you're trying to watch your figure. Once I made it official and let friends
and family know that I was starting my own cupcake business, all I received
were cake orders - go figure! So I branched off into cakes as well, which
I'm glad I did. Without them I would have never discovered my hidden talent.
